The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in equipment maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting, along with a strong understanding of precast concrete production processes.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their workday — balancing technical maintenance responsibilities with teamwork on the production floor — in an environment that values safety, quality, and collaboration.

  • Pour, finish, and patch concrete products using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Strip and clean molds after use to maintain quality and readiness for reuse.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment to move and position products.
  • Assist in general plant and yard organization, including cleaning, equipment care, and inventory management.
  • Support shipping and production schedules by stepping into production roles as needed.
  • Promote teamwork, safety, and communication across all departments.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • 2–5 years of experience in prestressed or precast concrete manufacturing or heavy industrial environments (preferred).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with precast production equipment, including mixers, conveyors, and hollowcore machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and hand/power tools safely and effectively.
  • Forklift and/or overhead crane experience preferred.
  • Strong math and measurement skills; ability to read tape measures and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and industrial safety standards.

Licenses & Certifications

  • PCI or ACI Certification (preferred).
  • Additional certifications such as Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) or Lean Six Sigma are highly valued.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical exam.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally heavier with assistance.
