Help Keep a Medical Environment Safe and Calm

A2A Security Agency Inc. is looking for a professional, patient-oriented Clinic Security Officer for a busy medical facility in Austin. You'll be the first point of contact for many patients and visitors, helping to maintain a safe, orderly, and reassuring atmosphere for everyone inside the clinic.

Key Duties

• Greet patients, visitors, and staff, maintaining a polite and confident presence at entrances and reception areas.
• Control access to restricted zones and verify authorization for staff, vendors, and visitors.
• Support reception/front office with crowd control, line flow, and general wayfinding.
• Identify and report suspicious behavior, safety hazards, and policy violations.
• Assist with verbal de-escalation of conflicts or tense situations when needed.
• Respond to incidents such as disturbances, medical events, and clinic code calls in accordance with established protocols.
• Document all notable events in concise, accurate activity and incident reports before shift end.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Security Guard License (Texas DPS) – required.
• 2–3+ years of security experience; prior work in a clinic, hospital, or other healthcare setting is a strong plus.
• Strong verbal communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach with patients and staff.
• Professional appearance, high level of discretion, and strong sense of responsibility.
• Comfortable working around medical situations and emotionally charged environments.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Reliable, on time, and available for the fixed schedule (Mon/Tue/Thu afternoons and evenings); occasional weekend or holiday coverage may be requested by the clinic.
