We're looking to hire an experienced

Construction Estimator

who shares our mindset. An individual who is a proactive self-starter, ready to play a key role in how our projects are secured, planned, managed, and delivered. As our Construction Estimator, you'll be responsible for developing accurate and detailed estimates that set projects up for success from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents to fully understand project scope
  • Perform detailed material takeoffs and quantity calculations
  • Estimate labor, materials, time, and production costs
  • Break down the scopes of work by trade and identify cost drivers
  • Prepare clear, professional written proposals, budgets, and cost analyses
  • Coordinate with project managers during bidding and pre-construction
  • Manage and evaluate bids from vendors and subcontractors
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and trade partners
  • Track bid data and compile actual job costs for future accuracy
  • Navigate and understand applicable building codes and requirements
  • Follow up with clients on submitted proposals and budgets
  • This role is primarily office-based. Occasional site familiarity is helpful, but regular site visits are not required.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in construction estimating (concrete experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong math, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • High proficiency with spreadsheets and estimating tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously without losing accuracy
  • Comfortable negotiating with experienced sales and operations professionals
  • We value honesty, humility, work ethic, and attention to detail just as much as technical ability.
  • Success in this role requires extreme attention to detail. Missing information is one of the biggest causes of project failure, and we take that seriously.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full-time, W-2 Employment.
  • Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 to $80,000 (based on experience; flexible for the right candidate.
  • Paid vacation time
  • Gas allowance (as needed)

  • Relocation considered for qualified candidates
