POSITION: Warehouse Technician

About the role:

The Warehouse Technician role requires a self-motivated individual with the company's strategic intent in mind to dominate the plastics distribution industry. Your career will flourish as you are provided opportunities for development and mentored by some of the top industry leaders.

What you'll do:

  • Perform tasks associated with the receipt, storage, shipment and fabrication of product and materials
  • Process daily orders by picking materials and building pallets for shipment
  • Maintain storage area by organizing floor space, adhering to storage design principles, recommending improvements, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Handle customer pickups
  • Operate CNC saw (training provided)
  • Adhere to production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards
  • Perform inventory counts
  • Assist with fabrication as needed
  • Proactively identify and prevent quality issues from occurring
  • Commit to ongoing improvement in the workplace by proactively seeking feedback and monitoring operational processes
  • Ensure all shipping and receiving activity reports are prepared in a timely manner and effectively maintained
  • Communicate effectively with Sales Team and Management regarding material and order status
  • Adhere to basic housekeeping standards and safe operating procedures (OSHA, PPE, etc.)
  • Follow Company-implemented operation procedures
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer satisfaction by providing unmatched quality & service
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years of warehouse experience
  • Proficient on a sit down forklift
  • Ability to calculate requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • High level of honesty and integrity
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must pass a background investigation as part of the selection process
  • Must pass the drug test as part of the selection process
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
  • (Preferred) – High School Diploma or GED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 42 per week
