POSITION SUMMARY:
The Line Cook is a passionate and dedicated team member who takes pride in delivering high-quality food while upholding the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. This role is responsible for preparing menu items according to established recipes, supporting daily prep tasks, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked station throughout service. The ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated, and able to take direction while working independently in a kitchen environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Menu Prep and Execution
- Prep alongside team according to prep lists provided by leadership
- Prepare menu items from recipes in a timely manner for tickets throughout service
- Ensure knowledge of menu items and ingredients
- Stock and maintain designated stations as directed by leadership
- Collaborate with leadership and prepare order sheets as needed Health, Safety, and Service Standards
- Comply with all sanitation regulations and safety standards including proper storage, rotation of inventory, and quality control
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with ownership, coworkers, and customers, and vendors
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 1 year of culinary experience
- Strong work ethic and integrity
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evening, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to communicate clearly in English both written and verbal
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma / GED preferred.
Degree or training in Culinary Arts, Hospitality or related field, or culinary certificate ideal.
PHYSICAL ABLITIES:
- Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. as needed
- Continuous bending, reaching, and twisting
- Maintains strong personal image and uniform standards
- Must be able to work at a high pace
