About this Role
When disaster strikes, Paul Davis Restoration helps families and businesses recover from fire, water, mold, and storm damage. As a Restoration Project Manager, oversees residential and commercial restoration projects from start to finish—restoring not only properties, but also peace of mind. This includes managing job timelines, budgets, subcontractors, documentation, and customer communication. This role directly supports Paul Davis Restoration of NW Chicago's operational success by ensuring projects move efficiently, safely, and with exceptional customer care so clients can return to their homes or businesses as quickly as possible.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage restoration and reconstruction projects from initial assessment to completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal mitigation teams.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and colleagues.
  • Approve change orders, monitor job profitability, and ensure compliance with scope.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documation in Cotality and/or Xactimate.
  • Conduct job site visits to assess progress, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve issues proactively and professionally to keep projects moving.
  • Ensure all work meets OSHA safety and Paul Davis quality standards.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay Range: $65,000-75,000 (based on experience)

Required Experience & Skills

  • 2–5 years of project management experience (restoration, construction, or related field).
  • Strong understanding of job costing, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
  • Excellent customer communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to read and develop scopes, plans, and estimates.
  • Organized and detail oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Xactimate, Cotality and/or restoration management software
  • IICRC or construction-related certifications
  • Experience working with insurance carriers or adjusters

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Ability to visit job sites, climb stairs, and inspect structures
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Schedule

  • Full-time Position: Regular schedule Monday - Friday with some flexibility
  • On-Call Requirements: Occasional support during high-demand events
