Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and enhancing the overall employee experience. This position requires strong communication skills and a solid understanding of human capital management practices.
Duties
- Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews using ATS platforms such as Lever and iCIMS.
- Support employee orientation and onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS systems like Workday, Paylocity, or Oracle HCM.
- Administer benefits programs and assist employees with inquiries regarding benefits administration.
- Facilitate employee evaluations and performance management processes to promote talent management.
- Collaborate with HR team members on change management initiatives and strategic planning efforts.
- Manage employee relations issues by providing support in conflict management and resolution.
- Conduct data entry tasks related to payroll, attendance tracking using Kronos or Dayforce, and other HR metrics.
- Assist in the implementation of affirmative action planning and succession planning strategies.
- Ensure compliance with FMLA, OSHA regulations, and employment & labor laws.
- Support training & development initiatives by coordinating training sessions and workshops.
Requirements
- Proven experience in human resources or administrative roles with a focus on HR functions.
- Familiarity with human capital management practices and workforce management principles.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law, including FMLA and workers' compensation regulations.
- Proficiency in project management skills to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with social media management for recruitment purposes is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independent initiative.
- Familiarity with various HR software systems such as ADP, Ceridian, SAP SuccessFactors, or UltiPro is advantageous.
