Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role is vital in setting the tone for our establishment and providing excellent customer service to all visitors. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a polished appearance. The Host/Host will play a key role in guest relations, ensuring smooth seating arrangements and efficient handling of guest inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Provide accurate wait times and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status
• Answer phone calls professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless guest flow and service quality
• Address guest inquiries promptly, providing information about menu items or restaurant policies
• Assist in guest relations by resolving any concerns or special requests courteously
• Support other front-of-house duties as needed to enhance guest experience

Experience

• Previous host/host experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
• Background in food service, serving, or guest services is advantageous
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience working in hotel or guest services environments is beneficial
• Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette are essential
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
• Excellent guest relations skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction

Pay: $ $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
