Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Construction Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee project coordination, manage schedules, and facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure construction projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within scope. This role requires a strong understanding of construction management processes, project scheduling, and construction site experience. The Construction Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting project managers and field teams through effective project management software utilization and contract oversight.
Duties
- Coordinate and monitor construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Utilize construction management software Procore and other relevant tools for project scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
- Assist in developing accurate construction estimates.
- Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
- Facilitate communication between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress on-site and address potential issues proactively to minimize delays.
- Support project managers in planning and coordinating resources, labor, and materials on construction sites.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout all phases of construction.
- Prepare reports on project status, risks, and milestones for stakeholders.
- Assist with contract administration and review contractual obligations to mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Civil Construction experience is a must.
- Proven experience in construction management or related roles with hands-on construction site experience preferred.
- Proficiency in computer skills and Procore or relevant project management software.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, construction estimating, contracts administration, and project coordination.
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and quality assurance practices.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating.
- Ability to analyze project data critically and develop actionable solutions.
- Relevant educational background in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred.
