Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Shift Leader to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced, quick service environment. As a Shift Leader, you will be the driving force behind smooth daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food quality standards, and leading a team of dedicated staff. Your leadership will inspire teamwork, uphold food safety and cleanliness, and support the overall success of the restaurant during your shift. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop management skills while actively engaging in food preparation, staff training, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high-quality food delivery and presentation.
  • Manage POS systems for accurate order processing, cash handling, and transaction reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards through regular inspections and staff training.
  • Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste to optimize food management.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills in customer service, food handling, and operational procedures.
  • Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly with a positive attitude to promote excellent customer service experiences.
  • Support kitchen management by coordinating food production activities and maintaining efficient workflow during busy periods.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Experience

  • Proven supervisory or management experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting is highly preferred.
  • Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices within the hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with POS systems for transaction processing and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through training & development initiatives while maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Experience with inventory control, food management, budgeting, and kitchen operations is advantageous.
  • Prior restaurant leadership background is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for interviewing candidates, coaching team members, and resolving customer issues confidently. Job Type: Part-time
