Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of sandwiches and related food items according to established recipes and standards
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food prep area, adhering to food safety regulations
• Operate POS systems such as Toast POS for order processing, payments, and cash handling
• Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance sales
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
• Restock ingredients and supplies regularly to keep the workstation organized and efficient
• Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining environment to support overall restaurant sanitation

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or quick-service restaurant environments
• Familiarity with POS systems like Toast
• Strong understanding of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards in the food industry
• Excellent time management skills to handle fast-paced service periods smoothly
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while delivering outstanding customer service
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
• Experience in cashiering, serving, or retail environments such as grocery stores or cafés is a plus
