Job Summary
From the team behind Dio Mio and Redeemer Pizza -- Johnny Bechamel s is a new full-service Italian-American restaurant opening soon in the Wash Park neighborhood, serving refined comfort food handmade pasta, naturally-leavened pizza, and seasonal dishes in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. We're passionate about great food, genuine hospitality, and creating a fun dining experience for everyone who walks through the door.

We are currently searching for versatile line cooks for our December Opening Furthermore, we will be a scratch made kitchen with hand made pastas, sourdough pizza, and creative plates.

This is a tip pool environment, with all tips going to payroll checks that are cut weekly. Percentage points are based on hours worked and position. We are initially looking for full-time hires and will have interviewing availability Monday thru Friday. We look forward to hearing from you

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety guidelines
• Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including knife skills and food handling techniques
• Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours
• Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations as needed
• Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies to prevent spoilage or contamination
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies within the kitchen environment

Experience

• Experience in fine dining or restaurant settings demonstrating proficiency in food preparation and cooking
• Strong culinary skills including knife skills, food handling, and food safety certifications preferred
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food service operations
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $ $28.52 per hour
