Overview
We are seeking a skilled Control Panel Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling, wiring, and testing control panels used in various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, with experience in PCB assembly, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and surface mount technology. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in electrical wiring, schematics interpretation, and soldering to contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Assemble control panels according to detailed schematics and technical drawings
- Wire electrical components, including PCB boards and power supplies
- Install and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation equipment
- Perform soldering using IPC 610 standards and surface mount technology techniques
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and machining tools to ensure precise assembly
- Conduct inspections of assembled panels for quality assurance and compliance with industry standards
- Maintain documentation of wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly procedures
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret schematics and resolve technical issues during assembly
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical wiring, PCB assembly, and control panel fabrication
- Strong understanding of schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and mechanical assembly processes
- Proficiency with soldering techniques adhering to IPC 610 standards
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics accurately
- Experience with surface mount technology (SMT) assembly is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge including machining, use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, and ohmmeters
- Electrical experience in manufacturing environments preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Prior experience with electrical wiring, schematics interpretation, and control panel testing is highly desirable

Pay: $ $29.00 per hour
