Minimum Requirements
High school diploma and 2 years professional experience in program coordination, event planning, association management, or non/profit/government administration. Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, communications, or event management preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple programs, meetings and events, including scheduling, budgeting, logistics and on-site execution. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and ability to work with external accounting and bookkeeping firms to maintain accurate financial records. Exceptional attention to detail and time management, with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage concurrent projects with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively and professionally with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with web-based tools such as event registration and social media platforms.

Program Administration and Coordination – 25%
Manage daily operations and logistics for the South Carolina City and County Management Association (SCCCMA) and the Riley Mayors' Design Fellowship.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all program participants, partners, sponsors, and vendors.
Maintain organized records, schedules, and documentation to support efficient program delivery.

Event Planning and Logistics – 20%
Plan and execute logistics for major conferences and events, including the SCCCMA Summer and Winter Conferences and the annual Riley Mayors' Design Fellowship gathering.
Coordinate venue selection, catering, registration, materials and on-site management
Develop event budgets, oversee vendor contracts and conduct post-event evaluations

Administer annual membership and sponsorship renewals, invoices and communications for SCCCMA.
Maintain sponsor recognition, logos and listings across events and publications
