Line Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in fine dining or restaurant environments. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation for daily service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
• Support kitchen staff during busy periods, including catering events and special functions
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation of ingredients
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, culinary assistant, or restaurant cook preferred
• Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
• Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food presentation techniques
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food preparation and cooking methods
• Background in fine dining or catering environments is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to accommodate special requests is advantageous
• Prior experience with food service, kitchen operations, or culinary training is desirable
