Overview
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a cook with potential for Assistant managerial duties. We will train The entry role will be basic but as duties progress you will play a vital role in meal preparation, menu planning, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Candidates with dietary department experience, fine dining background, or catering expertise are encouraged to apply. But we are also hiring entry positions to beginners in the field. Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist with menu planning to meet dietary needs and customer preferences
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation in compliance with food safety standards
- Perform food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Serve meals efficiently in a professional manner, maintaining high customer service standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas throughout shifts
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other culinary tools
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of quality meals
Experience
- Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but we will train.
- Experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with food industry standards for safety and sanitation
- Skills in food handling, meal preparation, and serving are essential
- Culinary experience including knife skills and food presentation is advantageous
- Background in catering or large-scale food service operations is a plus
