Role Overview
Google is seeking a Program Manager to support initiatives within the Platforms & Devices – Android Ecosystem team. In this role, you will execute well-defined programs and projects, collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and help drive operational excellence across planning, execution, and communication.
This position is ideal for an early-career Program Manager who is comfortable operating with limited guidance, managing defined scopes, and proactively addressing emerging challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Planning & Chartering
- Author program charters defining scope, timelines, OKRs, resourcing, risks, and dependencies
- Create detailed project plans broken into clear phases with identified risks and dependencies
- Execution & Tracking
- Collect and analyze program progress data from stakeholders
- Maintain project trackers, dashboards, and status reports
- Identify and execute program tasks aligned with Product Excellence, Product Inclusion, and Brand Trust
- Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
- Surface risks and issues early and contribute to mitigation plans
- Support postmortems, escalation reports, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Stakeholder & Communication Management
- Build and maintain stakeholder maps
- Identify misalignment and coordinate resolution across teams
- Create and deliver clear, organized, and visible program communications
- Facilitate effective meetings and working sessions
- Governance & Documentation
- Document roles and responsibilities across program teams
- Ensure adherence to defined execution and governance processes
Minimum Qualifications
- 1–3 years of Program Management experience
- Foundational understanding of program and project management principles
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with limited guidance
