Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Security Officer role based in Wilmington, DE. Key responsibilities include safeguarding facilities, performing regular patrols, monitoring surveillance systems, checking access control points, and responding to emergencies. The Security Officer will work closely with team members to maintain a secure environment and uphold professional standards of protection. Documentation of incidents and communication with law enforcement and emergency services may also be part of the role.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in security practices, including facility patrol, emergency response, and ensuring a secure environment
• Familiarity with surveillance systems and access control management
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
• Physical fitness and stamina to handle physically demanding tasks
• Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., First Aid/CPR certification, security guard training, and licensing requirements in Delaware) are preferred
• Prior experience in security or law enforcement is advantageous
• Dedication to maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
