Job Summary:

The Quality Control (QC) Shipping Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all outgoing products meet company quality standards before shipment. This role combines quality assurance duties with shipping and receiving responsibilities, requiring strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform final checks to ensure products are correct, damage-free, and meet quality assurance standards.
  • Ensure all required paperwork and QA forms are complete and accurate for each order.
  • Check in new inventory, maintain organized records, and conduct daily product level and expiration date checks.
  • Document and report errors, damages, or violations (e.g., expired products) and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure all products comply with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., safety, labeling, expiration).
  • Record inspection results, issues found, and corrective actions taken in quality control logs or databases.
  • Communicate with production teams to address recurring quality issues and suggest process improvements.
  • Ensure inspection tools and equipment are properly calibrated and maintained for accurate quality checks.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation and demonstrating QC procedures.
  • Help train new or existing staff on quality control procedures and standards.
  • Analyze inspection data to identify patterns or trends in product defects and report findings to supervisors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Proficient in basic computer and internet use
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, lift, and move packages

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in warehouse, shipping, or quality control roles
  • Familiarity with inventory or warehouse management systems
  • Forklift certification

Compensation: $21-$22/hr. plus benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO (vacation, holidays, sick time)
