Maintenance Tech

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Tech to join our team. As a Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and appearance of our facilities. Your primary duties will include performing maintenance and repairs, conducting inspections, and resolving any issues that arise. Your attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of general maintenance procedures will contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify any maintenance needs
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and repairing or replacing faulty electrical switches or outlets
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance
• Complete work orders and documentation accurately and within specified timeframes
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and other areas as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storage areas, tools, and equipment
• Collaborate with team members to identify and implement preventative maintenance strategies
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
• Keep inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Tech or similar role
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools
• Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects if required
• Certification or license in a related field is a plus
