Job Summary
Oregon Solar and Battery is seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing solar energy systems, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality service to our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and roofing, with an emphasis on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Duties

• Install solar panels on residential and commercial rooftops, ensuring proper placement and secure mounting
• Connect electrical wiring for high voltage and low voltage systems in accordance with NEC standards
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute installations accurately
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as forklifts to complete installations
• Perform fixture installation, electrical connections, and system testing to ensure optimal performance
• Assist with roofing tasks related to solar panel mounting and waterproofing procedures
• Conduct site assessments, including blueprint reading and evaluating roof conditions for safety and feasibility
• Follow all safety protocols related to electrical work, roofing, plumbing (if applicable), and construction site procedures
• Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to OSHA regulations throughout all phases of installation

Skills

• Proven experience with electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage wiring
• Strong knowledge of NEC standards and blueprint reading skills
• Experience as a commercial electrician or in construction site environments is highly desirable
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, roofing techniques, and fixture installation
• Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical drawings for system layout
• Familiarity with plumbing (optional but advantageous) and construction practices
• Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently
• Strong physical stamina for working at heights on roofs and lifting heavy equipment or materials
