Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Support the kitchen team by performing food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Assist with cooking tasks, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during service hours
  • Help with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods
  • Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining proper storage practices
  • Support catering events and special functions with meal preparation and plating as needed

Skills

  • Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles demonstrating knowledge of special dietary needs and accommodations
  • Proven culinary experience in fine dining or restaurant environments showcasing advanced food preparation skills
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking techniques essential for efficient meal prep
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure health compliance
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Familiarity with menu planning, food industry trends, and catering operations enhances versatility
