host/Assistant server

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for their dining experience.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
• Manage the seating chart and efficiently assign tables to optimize flow and minimize wait times.
• Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and special requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the host stand and waiting area.
• Assist in managing reservations using Aloha POS or similar systems.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, providing excellent customer service at all times.
• Help create a positive dining experience by engaging with guests and ensuring their needs are met.

Experience

• Previous experience in guest relations within a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with food service operations is advantageous, particularly experience using POS systems like Aloha.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service, demonstrating an eagerness to help others enjoy their dining experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
