Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team during the evening shift. This role is essential in providing high-quality meal service and nutritional support within a healthcare or assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, food preparation, and customer service, with a strong focus on sanitation and safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of residents while working in a supportive and team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation, plating, and serving nutritious meals to residents or patients in accordance with dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations.
  • Support dietary department tasks such as bussing tables, cleaning dishes, and maintaining storage areas.
  • Follow safety protocols related to food safety, sanitation, and infection control.
  • Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and monitoring expiration dates.
  • Provide courteous customer service to residents or patients, addressing their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Assist with meal delivery within the facility, ensuring timely service during the evening shift.
  • Support special dietary requests or modifications as directed by dietitians or nursing staff.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food service industry preferred; culinary or dietary aide experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of food production, food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
  • Strong time management skills to efficiently prepare and serve meals within scheduled times.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude towards residents or patients.
  • Basic culinary skills including meal preparation and food presentation are desirable.
  • Familiarity with cleaning protocols related to kitchen sanitation and infection control standards.
  • Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety during the evening shift. This position is integral to ensuring residents receive nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment while supporting their overall health and comfort.

Pay: $ $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
