Server/Bar

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server/Bar staff member to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service in a fast-paced restaurant and bar environment, ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and experience in food and beverage service, including fine dining settings. Prior experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros, as well as knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in the food industry while delivering outstanding guest relations.

Responsibilities

• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha or Micros, ensuring timely and efficient service.
• Serve food and drinks to guests in a courteous and professional manner, maintaining high standards of hospitality.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, tables, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards.
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed.
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Support opening and closing procedures for the restaurant or nightclub environment as required.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy hours.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or nightclub environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to upsell menu items effectively to maximize sales opportunities.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy.
• Experience with serving alcohol responsibly and understanding of alcohol laws is a plus.
• Hospitality background including host/host or bussing experience is beneficial.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
