In this crucial role, you will be responsible for navigating our warehouse using handheld scanners or pick lists to locate and retrieve specific products. Accuracy, speed, and a commitment to safety are key. You will ensure that items are picked correctly, meet quality standards, and are ready for the packing station. This position requires stamina for walking and standing for extended periods, as well as the ability to handle various products and perform tasks involving lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse locations using scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Meet established picking productivity standards.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Support the overall logistics and fulfillment process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and understand instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Commitment to using required PPE.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to team success in a logistics setting.
