We have an exciting opportunity for a Forklift Operator in Richmond, Virginia! As a skilled Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in our warehouse operations, managing the movement of goods with precision and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts to transport materials, load and unload trucks, and support inventory management. This position is crucial for our Logistics chain, and a strong commitment to Safety is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload goods from trailers and transport them within the warehouse.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Conduct daily pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Safety standards.
- Follow all company policies and Safety guidelines, ensuring proper use of PPE.
- Participate in team efforts to meet operational goals.
- Involve regular Lifting and movement of items, up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics.
- Strong understanding of forklift Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy Lifting.
- Good coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
