We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our bustling Austin, Texas facility. This role is vital for the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and managing materials and inventory throughout the distribution center. This includes receiving goods, stocking shelves, preparing items for order fulfillment, and ensuring efficient material flow. Safety is our top priority, and all team members must adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. The role requires physical capability, including significant Lifting and the operation of material handling equipment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Store materials in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Transport materials to and from production, shipping, and receiving areas.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to Safety guidelines.
- Properly use all required PPE.
- Assist in preparing materials for shipping or further processing.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting of materials up to 60 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety vests and gloves.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics setting.
