Our growing logistics company in Tampa, Florida is looking for a proactive and organized Warehouse Coordinator. This role is essential for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations within our warehouse. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, coordinating the receiving and shipping of goods, and ensuring that all warehouse activities are conducted efficiently and safely. Your duties will include supervising warehouse staff, scheduling deliveries, maintaining accurate records, and implementing process improvements. A thorough understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics principles is required. This position involves regular interaction with team members, vendors, and carriers, so strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. While not always performing direct manual labor, you may need to assist with tasks involving Lifting and the use of warehouse equipment. Ensuring compliance with all Safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all staff is a top priority. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Coordinate with transportation providers for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff.
- Implement and enforce Safety procedures and policies.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all personnel.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records and documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
