We are searching for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately documented, inspected, and processed. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for maintaining organized receiving areas and verifying shipments against purchase orders. Responsibilities:
- Receive all incoming shipments, verifying quantity and quality against shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system.
- Stage received materials for distribution to appropriate warehouse areas.
- Maintain clean and organized receiving docks and storage areas.
- Operate pallet jacks and other lifting equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and reconciliations.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall logistics operation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting tasks.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including warehouse management software.
- Knowledge of Safety best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and possess a strong work ethic.
