We are looking for a talented tech enthusiast to join one of our efficient engineering teams. This role will be for a team that builds and maintains our internal developer experience platform called DevX.
Key Responsibilities
Being right at the heart of the testing lifecycle: developing test plans and test cases, ensuring effective test coverage, executing tests, identifying and logging defects, working with engineers to resolve defects, and supporting regression testing.
Functional, workflow, and end-to-end testing of n-tier web applications, including the creation and maintenance of automated tests where it makes sense.
Participating in system integration testing with colleagues from multiple global teams
Testing interactions with 3rd party systems like Github, Veracode, Azure Devops, etc.
Understanding DevOps processes and tools in the company’s toolkit.
Continually improving engineering and testing processes.
Provide best practice, shift-left coaching to developers to promote defensive coding habits.
Facilitate example mapping sessions to help build complete picture of user story requirements.
Contribute to the maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
Contribute to creation and maintenance of automated test scripts.
Skills and experience Below is an overview of the skills and experience we are looking for, but remember, don’t rule yourself out if you don’t have everything on the list – it’s your intellect and your attitude we are really after.
5+ years of IT experience in any client-server design/development
Experience with targeted test automation strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well within a team environment, maximising the different strengths across the team.
Key technology experience of any test automation tools, but preferably Robot Framework and Playwright
Commercial experience of agile testing processes and the DevOps lifecycle
Experience of implementing security standards that meet privacy requirements for web/portal/mobile applications.
Experience with different types of Agile project delivery
Experience with API functional testing and mocking
Experience testing cloud data tools such as AWS
Experience testing infrastructure as code
Familiarity with cloud native testing approaches
Other valuable technologies: Robot Framework, object-oriented concepts, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Veracode, SonarQube
