The Role Capco is seeking a Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable solutions for leading financial institutions. The role involves shaping security strategy, driving architectural decisions, and embedding best practices across cloud and hybrid environments. This hands‑on leadership position offers opportunities to mentor staff and influence major change initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Develop enterprise security architecture strategies aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
Lead design of secure systems, networks, and applications across on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid setups.
Conduct threat modelling, risk assessments, and define remediation strategies.
Guide DevSecOps adoption by embedding security tools and controls in CI/CD pipelines.
Champion security awareness and mentor teams across engineering, architecture, and delivery.
What We’re Looking For
Strong experience designing and implementing secure architectures in cloud and hybrid environments.
Deep knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, TOGAF, SABSA).
Expertise in IAM, endpoint protection, application, and network security.
Strong communicator, able to translate complex security concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
Proven leadership and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary environments.
Bonus Points For
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, or AWS Certified Security.
Hands‑on experience with security tooling (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, IAM solutions).
Background in regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, PCI‑DSS) within financial services.
Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or C++).
Experience supporting RFPs, mentoring juniors, or contributing to thought leadership.
