We are looking for a
Project Design Engineer
to join our Project Engineering team, supporting the delivery of innovative automation projects for high‑profile clients across the UK.
What will you be doing?
Develop project layouts, specifications, and detailed designs from contract requirements
Produce general arrangement drawings and subsystem designs using AutoCAD and Inventor
Support the creation of design risk assessments and ensure compliance with EN standards and CE / UKCA requirements
Work closely with other engineering departments, project management, and procurement to deliver projects from design through to installation and handover
Attend client sites when required to support installation and resolve engineering issues
Produce a project technical file including drawings, specifications, BOMs, O&M documentation, and risk assessments
What we are looking for?
Mechanical Engineering qualification (Degree preferred, HNC minimum with relevant experience)
Background in automation, capital equipment, or large‑scale engineered systems
Strong 2D and 3D CAD skills (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred)
International travel required on a limited basis
Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
