About the Role This is a hands‑on, frontend‑first senior engineering role, reporting directly to the Director of Technology. This is a
high‑autonomy role in a small team , suited to engineers who are comfortable managing their own priorities and momentum.
You’ll play a key role in scaling our
Shopify Hydrogen headless storefront , improving performance, shipping features quickly, and supporting the launch of our mobile app. It’s an excellent opportunity for a strong engineer stepping into their
first senior role , with real ownership and autonomy.
You’ll work closely with design, operations and growth to build a faster, more reliable, and more scalable customer experience.
What You’ll Do
Build and ship customer‑facing features using
React, TypeScript and Shopify Hydrogen
Implement high‑quality, accessible, responsive UI from design
Maintain and evolve our component library and design system
Support mobile parity within our WebView app (launching 2026)
Leverage low‑code / no‑code tools where appropriate
Embrace modern
LLM and AI tooling
as part of day‑to‑day delivery
Improve code quality, structure, documentation and testing
Support experimentation, analytics, A/B testing and performance optimisation
Diagnose and resolve issues across browsers, devices and edge cases
About You
Strong experience with
React and modern TypeScript/JavaScript
Able to deliver polished, production‑ready UI
Comfortable improving performance and debugging complex issues
Pragmatic, curious, and ready to take on more ownership
Good design instinct and
attention to detail
Clear communicator and collaborative team member
Comfortable working with analytics and experimentation
