Join our dynamic logistics team in San Diego, California, as an Order Picker. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve specific items from our warehouse shelves based on detailed order sheets. This position requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail to minimize errors and maximize productivity. You will work closely with other warehouse associates to ensure a smooth flow of goods and contribute to the overall success of our supply chain operations. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is essential, and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE, is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from designated warehouse locations using order pick lists or scanners.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order specifications.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment as needed.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counting.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and warehouse logistics.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily picking goals.
- Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently to support timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend throughout the shift.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
