We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our thriving distribution center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be a vital part of our logistics operations, contributing to the efficient movement and storage of goods. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping. You will be expected to maintain high standards of accuracy, productivity, and safety in all tasks. This position requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to teamwork. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time, upholding our commitment to excellent service within the supply chain. We emphasize a safe working environment and provide necessary PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Stock inventory accurately into designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Ensure all tasks are completed within established timeframes.
- Uphold company standards for quality and efficiency in all logistics processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Commitment to adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Understanding of basic logistics and supply chain principles.
