Job Overview

Essential Functions:
- Processing per capita payments from members and posts for The American Legion
- Reviews and follows up on membership-based concerns and questions.
- Develop and maintain reports on membership standings.
- Coordinate the submission of award-based information the American Legion National Headquarters.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Handle multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and responding to inquiries promptly.
- Maintain organized records of member information through data entry, filing, and database (Personify)
- Coordinate communication with members via email or phone in bilingual capacity if applicable, ensuring clear and effective messaging.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism by demonstrating excellent phone etiquette, proofreading materials for accuracy, and managing time effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience customer service or clerical support.
- Strong computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and data entry skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette standards.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining accuracy in record keeping.
- Strong typing skills along with attention to detail for proofreading documents and managing data entry tasks.
- Knowledge of office equipment including filing systems, photocopiers, and fax machines.
- Experience in office or customer support roles that require excellent organizational skills and time management capabilities. Pay: From $19.00 per hour
