Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker (Therapist) to join our team in providing comprehensive behavioral health and social services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crisis intervention, addiction counseling, and child welfare, with experience in supervising and mentoring staff. This role involves working closely with diverse populations to promote mental health, stability, and well-being through evidence-based practices and compassionate care. The Licensed Master Social Worker () will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families navigating complex social and health challenges within community settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health, social needs, and risk factors, including crisis intervention and crisis management strategies.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address behavioral health issues, addiction recovery, child welfare concerns, and other social service needs.
- Provide counseling services utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and positive change.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, government agencies (such as Section 8 and Medicare), and community organizations to coordinate services.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns, ensuring adherence to best practices and ethical standards.
- Manage cases involving child welfare, childcare support, workforce development, and community resource linkage.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, progress notes, and compliance records in accordance with agency policies.
- Stay current with relevant regulations, including Medicaid requirements and state-specific social work guidelines.
Skills
- Proven expertise in crisis intervention, behavioral health support, and addiction counseling.
- Strong knowledge of crisis management techniques and social work principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate clients through motivational interviewing.
- Supervisory experience with a demonstrated ability to mentor staff or interns effectively.
- Familiarity with child welfare systems, Section 8 housing programs, Medicare policies, and workforce development initiatives.
- Compassionate approach to client care with a focus on empowering individuals toward stability and independence.
