Senior Application Architect

Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in need of a Senior Application Architect in Boston, MA. Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable, cloud-native applications aligned with technology strategy
• Lead full-stack development using Oracle APEX, Java, JavaScript, and modern backend services
• Create secure RESTful APIs and enterprise integration patterns
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL packages and advanced Oracle APEX features, including Universal Theme and Redwood design
• Manage Oracle APEX administration, ORDS configuration, and application lifecycle support
• Support Snowflake development and build ETL/ELT pipelines for data integration
• Ensure UI/UX standards for accessibility, usability, and responsive design
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD, cloud deployments, and automated monitoring
• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide technical leadership and mentorship

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack application design and development
• Advanced JavaScript development for validation, dynamic UI interactions, and real-time user experiences
• Strong experience in developing snowflake data solutions
• Expert knowledge of Oracle APEX 24.1+ with deep experience customizing Universal Theme and Redwood components
• Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming
• Experience working with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS
• Solid understanding of systems architecture, security controls, and integration frameworks

Experience developing with modern frontend and client-side technologies:

• JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Angular and/or React
• Robust backend engineering experience using: Python, Java, Spring Boot, NodeJs
• Python for backend API development and service integration

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
