Position Overview
We are seeking a driven, tech-savvy Inside Sales Representative to own the end-to-end process of preparing, marketing, prospecting, and selling forklifts and material handling equipment across our Arizona, Southern California, and Texas markets.
This role is perfect for an early-career sales professional with familiarity in equipment or industrial sales who is hungry to learn, take initiative, and move fast. You will be responsible for everything from identifying sellable equipment and organizing photos/videos to posting listings online, generating leads, negotiating deals, and closing sales.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Identification & Preparation
- Work with branch teams to identify stock and used forklifts and material handling equipment suitable for resale.
- Gather and verify equipment details (make, model, hours, specs, condition, maintenance history, etc.).
- Coordinate and/or personally capture high-quality photos and videos for marketing use.
Digital Marketing & Listing Management
- Create compelling listings for the company website, 3rd-party marketplaces, and listing platforms.
Develop and publish marketing content across digital channels, including:- Company website and inventory pages
3rd-party sale facilitators/marketplaces
- Social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
- Email campaigns or other outbound formats as needed
- Optimize listings for visibility and lead generation (titles, tags, descriptions, calls to action).
- Track performance of listings and campaigns; adjust messaging and strategy based on results.
Prospecting & Sales Execution
- Proactively prospect customers and dealers within assigned territories (Arizona, Southern California, Texas).
- Respond quickly and professionally to inbound inquiries from web, phone, and email.
- Qualify prospects, understand their application and needs, and match them with appropriate equipment.
- Present equipment options, pricing, and value proposition clearly and confidently.
- Negotiate pricing and terms within established guidelines.
- Coordinate any required inspections, demos, and logistics with internal teams.
- Drive the sale through to completion, ensuring accurate documentation and a smooth customer experience.
Process Ownership & Collaboration
- Manage multiple listings, deals, and customer conversations at once with strong follow-up and organization.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and internal systems (leads, opportunities, quotes, and closed deals).
- Partner with operations, service, and logistics to ensure equipment readiness and timely delivery.
- Provide feedback to management on pricing, inventory mix, and market demand trends.
Qualifications
Required:
- 1–4 years of experience in sales, inside sales, or customer-facing commercial role
- Familiarity with equipment, industrial products, or B2B sales (material handling, construction equipment, ag, or similar is a plus)
Strong digital fluency and comfort navigating:- Websites and content management tools
Online marketplaces / listing platforms
- Social media for business purposes
Demonstrated ability to:- Take initiative without constant direction
Own tasks from start to finish
- Juggle multiple priorities and follow up consistently
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a professional, customer-focused approach
- Strong bias for action – you move quickly, solve problems, and figure things out
- High attention to detail in equipment descriptions, photos, and documentation
- Proficiency with common business tools (Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; basic CRM experience preferred)
Preferred:
- Experience selling forklifts, material handling equipment, or related industrial equipment
- Experience managing online listings or digital marketing content for products
- Experience using a CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, especially for Texas, Arizona, and Southern California markets
