About
- We are looking to hire a creative and enthusiastic Executive Chef with energy and drive to join our team. The Executive Chef will assist with further developing a healthy, farm-to-table menu concept. The Executive Chef will take the lead and control the kitchen and the kitchen staff at this upscale casual restaurant. We provide a great and friendly working environment. Potential to grow with the company.
Responsibilities:
- Create and modify the food menu
- Responsible for the food ordering
- Cooking of food for the customers on a timely basis
- Estimate the food costs, food requirements and plan for food purchase budgeting
- Hire, train, recruit and supervise the kitchen staff
- Perform basic administrative duties
- Comply with restaurant service regulations, nutrition and sanitation requirements, health regulations, restaurant storage and safety standards
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of cooking experience in a similar position with a track record of kitchen management
- Culinary Arts Degree or equivalent professional experience
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
- Strong leadership skills with attention to details and organization
- Good communication skills in a controlled manner
- Basic knowledge of working with a point of sale system, a plus
