Meadowland Farmers Coop proudly serves 15 small town communities in Southwest Minnesota providing Agronomy, Grain, Energy and Feed services.

We are currently seeking an Agronomy Applicator at our Walnut Grove location.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sprayer, airflow, tandem, water truck, and more to transport to farm destinations.
• Adhere to all relevant regulations and safety standards governing the transportation of fertilizer and other crop inputs, including Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
• Load and unload fertilizer and other crop inputs using appropriate equipment and techniques by following established procedures to prevent spills, contamination, and other safety hazards.
• Provide exceptional customer service and courteous manner, addressing customer inquiries or concerns, and maintaining professional conduct at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR
• Able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
• Team player

Desired Requirements

• Class A CDL, Tanker and HAZMAT endorsements (or the ability to obtain)
• Commercial pesticide applicators license (or ability to obtain)

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Work is typically completed in an outdoor setting at various locations. The employee may regularly be exposed to extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.); noisy conditions; dust, fumes, and chemicals.

Employee must be physically able to perform all requirements of the job, including but not limited to using hands to finger, handle or feel, seeing, hearing, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
