Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker's gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

About the Role:
Kwik Trip is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to design and implement technology solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between business needs and IT capabilities, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient architectures that support organizational goals. You'll serve as an informal leader and mentor for our team of architects, fostering collaboration, promoting best practices, and driving consistency in design principles across the enterprise.

What You'll Do:

• Develop scalable, secure, and efficient technology architectures aligned with business objectives
• Define integration patterns, technology standards, and frameworks for enterprise solutions
• Ensure compliance with security, performance, and reliability requirements
• Serve as an informal leader for Kwik Trip's architect community
• Promote architectural best practices and consistency across domains
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and alignment on enterprise architecture principles
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Provide guidance during project planning to ensure solutions meet organizational goals
• Support prioritization of initiatives based on strategic impact
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of architecture standards and guidelines
• Review solution proposals for adherence to enterprise architecture principles
• Participate in architecture review boards and decision-making forums
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Mentor peers and contribute to the growth of Kwik Trip's architecture discipline
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in software development and architecture
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, and best practices
• Experience with enterprise, cloud-native, and SaaS architectures, including integration of on-premises systems with cloud platforms
• Knowledge of solution design patterns, integration strategies, and interoperability standards
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and hybrid environments
• Knowledge of security architecture, compliance requirements, and risk management
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals, infrastructure components, and system performance optimization
• Understanding of business strategy and IT alignment, including cost-benefit analysis and ROI considerations
• Knowledge of governance models and architecture review processes
• Strategic thinking and ability to translate business objectives into technical solutions
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills for complex, multi-system environments
• Strong leadership and facilitation skills to guide cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in architecture modeling tools
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive and technical audiences
• Skilled in vendor evaluation and technology selection

Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, onsite at our La Crosse Support Center.
