Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons in various scientific disciplines, including research and chemistry. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting academic excellence among students. The Science Teacher will play a crucial role in developing students' critical thinking skills and encouraging their curiosity about the natural world.

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Teach various science subjects, including but not limited to biology, chemistry, and physics.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Provide academic advising and support to students, guiding them in their educational journey.
  • Assess student progress through regular evaluations, assignments, and examinations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and school events.
  • Engage with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.

Skills

  • Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
  • Knowledge of academic advising practices to support student development.
  • Experience in private school settings is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in specialized science topics such as research, chemistry, physical science, and biology.
  • Excellent proofreading abilities for preparing instructional materials.
  • Understanding of differential equations as they relate to scientific concepts is a plus.
  • Familiarity with library services to enhance research skills among students.
  • Background in education administration to contribute to school operations effectively.
  • Experience or training in scientific labs is preferred but not required.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 – 35 per week
