When you join our team of over 45 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealth's mission in the communities we serve.
As a Registration Representative in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.
The role you'll contribute:
Responsible for scheduling and registering patients for physical, occupational and speech language pathology visits, while ensuring patient demographics, insurance and relevant clinical information is obtained. This position requires medical terminology, excellent phone skills and acute attention to details to ensure accurate and timely service is provided. This role explains financial responsibilities, authorizations/pre-certifications, and benefit limitations to facilitate timely and accurate billing and protect the financial standing of the hospital. This position actively participates in providing outstanding customer service, collaborates with partner departments and physician offices and maintains respectful relationships.
The value you'll bring to the team:
Proactively reviews schedules and performs eligibility and benefits verification and re-verification for patient visits, ensuring authorizations and pre-certifications are correct to avoid denials and cancellations.
Works error reports daily, enters accurate data, and documents all attempts to collect or obtain missing documentation and meets or exceeds accuracy standards and upfront collection goals.
Monitors patient wait and registration times, being sure to collaborate with clinical team, implement processes and remove barriers to delayed care.
Acts as patient liaison and collaborates with clinical teams and physician offices to ensure timely completion and submission of documents such as plan of cares, status reports and authorization forms, as required by insurance.
