Job Description:
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you'll work directly with customers to understand their technical needs, recommend solutions from our manufacturers, and support the design-in process.

You'll be responsible for independently growing your assigned territory by helping OEMs design in our manufacturers' components and by promoting our contract manufacturing services. Meeting with customers face-to-face to build relationships and conduct thorough discovery will be a key part of your daily work. Success will come from your ability to identify and close new business opportunities, and from clearly communicating the value and ROI of your solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to use their engineering background to drive sales and support customers. You'll spend most of your time in the field, meeting with design engineers, product managers, and procurement teams to help guide technical decisions.

Responsibilities:

· Provide technical support to customers during product design, evaluation, and integration.

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

· Conduct regular in-person client meetings, delivering tailored presentations and product demonstrations.

· Understand customer challenges and recommend the right solutions from our product portfolio.

· Collaborate with internal teams and manufacturers to ensure smooth sales processes and timely product delivery.

· Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales targets.

· Track customer feedback, industry trends, and competitor activity to inform strategy.

· Attend trade shows, conferences, and other networking events to develop leads and build professional relationships.

Requirements:

Location: Must reside within MA

Experience: Proven success in technical sales, ideally in the electronics or contract manufacturing sectors.

Skills:

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

· Proven ability to penetrate accounts by overcoming objections or obstacles and schedule in person meetings

· Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn about complex product lines.

· Self-motivated with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

· Competent in tailoring presentations to meet diverse client needs.

· Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office products, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Competent in virtual meeting formats, Zoom, Teams, etc.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical preferred).

Travel: Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the region.

Transportation : Reliable transportation to travel regularly in the territory and transport clients

Pay: $70, $90,000.00 per year
