Pizza Maker

Overview
We offer wood fired style pizzas, subs and pastas. I'm looking for someone with experience in the kitchen specifically Pizzerias

Duties

• Prepare a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality with every dish
• Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients with precision and care
• Start a fire for our wood oven
• prep everything before we open
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, knives, and other culinary tools
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza station, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols at all times
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors or toppings based on customer preferences and current trends
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed during all stages of meal preparation to promote safety and hygiene
• Collaborate with team members to deliver timely service during busy hours while maintaining high standards of quality
• Support catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of pizza or related dishes as needed
• Serve guests with enthusiasm and professionalism, providing excellent food service that enhances their dining experience

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dietary department, dietary aide role, or food service environment is highly desirable
• Strong culinary skills with a focus on pizza preparation, including dough handling, topping application, and baking techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices within the food industry
• Experience in menu planning or developing new recipes is a plus
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently; knife skills are essential for ingredient prep
• Familiarity with fine dining or restaurant environments can be advantageous but is not mandatory
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude; able to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
• Basic understanding of catering services or large-scale meal preparation is beneficial
• Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety standards at all times

Pay: $ $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
