Position Overview

The Controller is a critical leadership role responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of RevitalyzeMD, ensuring accuracy across all accounting functions, and providing strategic financial insights to guide growth and profitability. This individual will manage daily accounting operations while collaborating with the leadership team to shape the company's financial strategy, streamline systems, and support long-term scalability.

Primary Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

  • Oversee and execute daily accounting functions, including payables, receivables, reconciliations, and payroll.
  • Ensure accuracy in general ledger entries, balance sheets, and P&L by location.
  • Manage financial control systems to ensure compliance, accuracy, and transparency.
  • Lead the month-end close process, including all reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
  • Maintain, review, and refine accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring optimal pricing and contract efficiency.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Partner with leadership to build and monitor annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial models.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Review service and product profitability, pricing strategies, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
  • Perform margin analysis and identify areas to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Develop dashboard-style reporting to communicate business performance in a simple, visual, and actionable way.

Strategic & Operational Collaboration

  • Participate in leadership meetings to provide financial perspectives on business decisions, expansion opportunities, and operational planning.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as new service launches, location expansions, and technology integrations.
  • Provide financial analysis and forecasting for investment decisions and capital expenditures.
  • Collaborate with HR and operations to streamline payroll, benefits tracking, and employee onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Evaluate and implement accounting software and reporting tools to improve automation and accuracy.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Produce monthly financial statements and executive summaries by location.
  • Ensure timely submission of all state/local tax filings, including sales tax and payroll.
  • Prepare financial packages for external accountants during annual tax filings.
  • Oversee annual insurance audits, 1099s, and other year-end requirements.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records for all audits and compliance needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting or controller-level roles, preferably in healthcare, medspa, or multi-location service industries.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel/Google Sheets, and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles, cash flow management, and multi-entity accounting.
  • Proven track record of improving processes, reducing costs, and enhancing financial transparency.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
