*Job Summary: *
The IT Support Specialist is a versatile technology professional who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment where every day brings new challenges. While end-user support is part of the role, this position goes far beyond traditional help desk work. You'll be an active contributor to strategic technology initiatives, system deployments, acquisition integrations, and infrastructure projects that directly impact POWERX's growth and operational excellence. We're building an internal IT team with an "all hands on deck" mentality - where collaboration, continuous learning, and shared ownership of outcomes define our culture. This is not an MSP environment; you'll be deeply embedded in our organization, working alongside colleagues who understand our business intimately and are invested in our long-term success.

*Duties/Responsibilities: *
Strategic Technology Initiatives

  • Lead and contribute to technology projects including system migrations, new office buildouts, and enterprise application deployments
  • Support M&A integration activities by migrating acquired companies onto our technology platforms
  • Participate in evaluating, testing, and implementing new technologies that enhance business operations
  • Collaborate across departments to understand business needs and deliver technological solutions

Microsoft 365 & Cloud Infrastructure

  • Administer and optimize our Microsoft 365 tenant and cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure)
  • Manage licensing, feature rollouts, and automation using PowerShell or Graph API
  • Monitor the M365 roadmap, plan phased deployments, and provide insights to leadership
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Team Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Work collaboratively with IT team members on projects of all sizes
  • Share knowledge and cross-train on various systems to build team resilience
  • Streamline processes like joiner/mover/leaver workflows to reduce manual effort

Technical Operations

  • Provide end-user support on all levels within our internal ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PC and network hardware
  • Support software integrations and security configurations
  • Manage software license administration

Knowledge Sharing & Documentation

  • Create training materials, instructional guides, and video content using tools like Loom, Scribe, and Camtasia
  • Document systems and processes to enable team efficiency and business continuity
  • Support onboarding of new employees and technology adoption initiatives

Additional responsibilities and tasks as required to support the organization's goals and adapt to evolving business needs.

*Attributes/Abilities: *

  • Must have a satisfactory background check.
  • Experience in all aspects of the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
  • Extensive knowledge of Cloud based infrastructures, including storage and hosting solutions like AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency with PC and network hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Thorough technical knowledge of networks, personal computers, telephone systems, software integration, and cyber-security.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while providing prompt customer service.
  • Basic skills in image and video editing for the creation of interactive training content (experience with tools such as Loom, Scribe, Camtasia, or similar).
  • Proficiency in sourcing and selecting the best solutions for computing hardware, software, and related services.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work effectively across departments.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a customer service mindset.

*Experience And Education: *

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science or Information Technology) or Associate's degree in Network Administration and/or Computer Programming or equivalent education/experience preferred.
  • Experience migration or integration project environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
  • 5+ years of hands-on IT experience in diverse technology environments.
  • Deep expertise with Microsoft 365 Admin Center and all its components.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure) including storage and hosting solutions.
  • Proficiency with PC and network hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of networks, security best practices, and software integration.

*Preferred Qualifications: *

  • Experience with migration or integration projects (M&A, system consolidations, tenant-to-tenant moves)
  • PowerShell or API scripting experience
  • Familiarity with multimedia tools for creating training content
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practice.
  • Project management experience or exposure

*Physical Requirements: *

  • This is an office desk position with no significant physical exertion required.
  • May be required to life up to 15 pounds.
