Position Summary:
The Safety Manager supports TQ Constructors' safety program by promoting a culture of health, safety, and environmental excellence across all project sites. This role assists in implementing safety policies, conducting training and inspections, and ensuring compliance with company, client, and OSHA requirements.
The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who's passionate about protecting people, preventing incidents, and helping teams work safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and enforce company safety policies and procedures at all job sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations to identify hazards and corrective actions.
- Assist with new employee safety orientations and ongoing training programs.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; document findings and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and field personnel to address safety concerns.
- Participate in pre-job planning and job hazard analysis (JHA) meetings.
- Ensure that all PPE and safety equipment are properly maintained and used.
- Promote continuous improvement and a positive safety culture through communication and coaching.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in safety coordination or field safety within the construction or industrial sector.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, hazard identification, and construction safety best practices.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and educate others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with safety management software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
- OSHA 500
- First Aid / CPR certification.
- CHST or other professional safety certifications.
- Experience in mechanical, piping, or fabrication-heavy environments.

Work Schedule:
Full-time position, Monday–Sunday, with occasional evening or weekend work as projects require.
